Tokyo Metropolitan Government Announces Revision of Green Procurement Guidelines
We are pleased to inform you that the Green Purchasing Guide of Tokyo Metropolitan government was renewed from 1 Apr. 2023.
In Level 2 recommendation of the new version, the sentence having problem for PEFC certified holder, namely “except for case that an entity that is disqualified as a certified status by the certification schemes takes part in the supply chain of the products concerned” was deleted based on our request and strong recommendation of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
So, problem related to the guide has been completely cleared.

Products such as FSC or PEFC (including SGEC) certificated or ones from thinned logs, being fully confirmed that the product has been sustainably produced not to cause loss of biodiversity in the supply chain.”
